What does Travel mean to You?

We love a good travel video at HotelREZ, specially one that is set to inspire our wanderlust. In this great video, filmed in 12 different countries, the folks at Perennial Plate and Intrepid Travel proclaim that “Travel is more than the seeing of things”. We could not agree more!

And to top up your travel inspiration fix here is a list of some of our favourite travel quotes ever:

“Once the travel bug bites there is no known antidote, and I know that I shall be happily infected until the end of my life”- Michael Palin

“Travel is like love, mostly because it’s a heightened state of awareness, in which we are mindful, receptive, undimmed by familiarity and ready to be transformed. That is why the best trips, like the best love affairs, never really end.” Pico Iyer

“A ship in harbor is safe, but that is not what ships are built for.” – John A. Shedd

“One’s destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things.” – Henry Miller

“Travel makes one modest. You see what a tiny place you occupy in the world.” – Gustave Flaubert

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Mark Twain

“For my part, I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel’s sake. The great affair is to move.” – Robert Louis Stevenson

“There are some parts of the world that, once visited, get into your heart and won’t go. For me, India is such a place.” – Keith Bellows
