Want to Help Greece? Go There!

In light of the recent Greek crisis, it’s understandable that you might feel reluctant to visit. But what you might not necessarily be aware of is that if there ever was a time to visit this beautiful country, it’s now. Tourism in Greece, more than ever before, means liquidity and most importantly, means solidarity to its people.

Here are just a few reasons why we think you should consider visiting Greece:

Prices are significantly cheaper than usual.

With the crisis inevitably businesses are struggling and putting on their best efforts to get that much-needed injection of cash. You can find some great deals on Greek Independent Hotels here.

The Greek people are even more welcoming and grateful to tourists.

These are hard times, and people everywhere in Greece are aware of how much it means that you choose to visit their country right now.

You can still pay with your cards as you would anywhere.

Your cards will work normally everywhere, and you can still withdraw money – but bringing enough cash would be the smartest option. People will appreciate you paying in cash as they are having difficulty accessing money in their own account at the moment. A lot of travel insurers realizing this, have expanded the cover for stolen money for people travelling to Greece.

The country remains just as beautiful as it ever was.

With incredible weather, stunning beaches, a rich and mouth-watering gastronomy, and plenty of historical sites, Greece is still one of the best holiday destinations in the world. For some of the best places to visit in Greece, check this post.
