Cycling Breaks inspired by UK Greats

Cycling Breaks inspired by UK Greats

Cyclists inspired by the upcoming Tour de France can follow in the tyre tracks of Team GB’s 2012 Olympic champions, with a new cycling package at the beautiful Foxhills resort in Surrey, a HotelREZ Hotels & Resorts member hotel.

The 400-acre privately-owned resort near Woking is where Bradley Wiggins and the rest of Britain’s cycling squad stayed to get in tip-top physical and mental shape before bringing home the medals in the London 2012 Games. Now you can enjoy the same luxurious accommodation and outstanding sport and leisure facilities that worked their magic on Wiggo, Chris Froome, Mark Cavendish, Lizzie Armistead, head coach Dave Brailsford and the rest of the team!

Guests on the two-night Velo package are provided with four different-level cycling itineraries following sections of the Olympic route through the Surrey countryside, and those staying over a weekend can also join a Sunday morning guided cycle ride.

Foxhills Resort Cycling BreaksPre-ride breakfasts can include recommendations from British Cycling’s head nutritionist and everyone receives a goodie bag containing a water bottle, high-energy snack, Olympic Road Race Route Map and an Elemis Muscle Soak for soothing aching limbs.

You can also warm up on static bikes in an indoor cycling class or stretch stiff muscles in a Pilates session in the resort’s superb health club with the latest equipment.  Classes and equipment use is free to guests, and private coaching is also available. Other exceptional amenities at Foxhills include three golf courses, four swimming pools and a tranquil spa where the Olympic squad enjoyed relaxing and where female cyclists had their nails painted in patriotic GB colours!

Inspired by Froome? Then stay in his room!

Available year-round, the two-night package costs £270 per person sharing a spacious double room with breakfast (traditional full English is available if preferred) and all cycling activities. Serious fans can request to stay in the same room as their particular hero. Non-cycling partners pay £220 and there is a £50 per night supplement for singles occupying a double room.
